What's the best concealed carry gun for you?

The best carry gun is the one you’re actually comfortable with and willing to carry around. You’ve got to get out there and try a few at the range, play around with different holsters, and figure out what feels right for you. You want something that won’t show through your clothes too much, draws easily when you need it, and gives you that boost of confidence when you shoot.

At the end of the day, a gun like that is totally worth it because it brings you peace of mind.

I have tried a lot of different carry firearms and it goes back to what dasharpShooter says "comfortable with and willing to carry". If you have to weigh out comfort vs not carrying then you need to try another. As a young Marine I started carrying a 1911. Many times it was left behind because of weight or bulk. Now I have pared my carry weapons down to three, an S&W Shield, an S&W Bodygaurd in 380 and a J-frame Airweight. These are carried based on the day's activities and dress. I hunting or fishing trips I may switch to a 357 or 45. But I am wearing heavier clothing and can conceal a larger firearms.

For me it is a comfort issue. Comfort is many times dictated by the belt, holster and weapon combination. The correct belt and holster is as important, or maybe more so, than the weapon.
