Glock 22 barrel rust?

I’ve noticed a few specks on my Gen 5 G22 that look like rust, but the surface is perfectly smooth. It feels like the finish could be deteriorating or fading because those spots just keep appearing.

Try giving it with a soft wipe with a lightly oiled cloth or a protectant made for guns, like CorrosionX. Almost every time, those spots disappear and don’t come back unless the gun is stored in a humid environment.

If the rust spots arent rough or pitted, then I wouldnt worry much about it.
