I doubt I'm the only one that let a gun go an later regretted it. In my lifetime I have bought, sold, gave away and traded a few guns. Some I have greatly regretted. The list of mistakes is quite long but remember this is a life long list. I sold a Colt Python in 1980.
Traded a Colt Diamondback 22 and a S&W 41 for a Kimber of Oregon 22. I still have the Kimber but I do miss the two I traded.
I have given away five or six guns but the only one I really miss if a Kimber 1911. The person I gave it to traded it for a Glock. I would have bought him a Glock had I known about it.
I had two guns safes go under during Hurricane Katrina that I couldn't get to for almost three weeks. When I saw how badly corroded I closed the safes and walked away. I lost the house as well and had other priorities. When I went back I traded the contents to a local Gunsmith for some "future work" that failed to materialize before he passed away.
I traded a Dan Wesson Pistol Pak 357 for a chainsaw.
I gave away a S&W 125th year anniversary model 25. I was afraid if I kept it I would be tempted to shoot it.
I traded a Belgiun Browning 30-06 that I truly regret. At the time I wasn't into rifle hunting and only bought it because the guy only wanted $250 for it.
I'm sure there are others that I am forgetting.
