What are some of your families' Christmas Traditions? We have a few and one of my earliest was handed down from my great grandfather Hezekiah Beesley. According to him the first person to greet someone with "Christmas Eve Gift" was entitled to a gift from that person. Some in our family would call at 12:01 am trying to catch you. Once my young family and I made signs decorated with battery powered lights declaring "Christmas Eve Gift" and placed them in different family members front yards after midnight. Because of the travel involved we ended the night around 0800 with a breakfast at the Pancake House. My granddaughter walked out this morning and got me with it so I will trek to Walmart this morning for a goody to compensate her remembering.

On Christmas morning there is always a family gathering to open gifts followed by breakfast casserole. Later we have a family dinner, This year's dinner will be a clash of surf and turf featuring a smoked brisket along with gumbo.

What are some of yours?
