What kind of problems have you experienced with your firearms, and what solutions did you find that worked?

I could write a book about problems and a paragraph about the solutions I have found. The week after I turned 21 I went to a local TG&Y and bought a Colt Woodsman .22lr. When I got home I cleaned it, packed some targets and went to the range. It emptied the first magazine in two trigger pulls. I loaded a second magazine and it emptied it with a single pull of the trigger. TG&Y took it back that evening and refunded my money.
