I've been exploring these hills since I was little enough to keep up with my granddad. Started all of these with his old Stevens single-shot 20 gauge, going after squirrels, and slowly moved up from there. I’m using a Tikka T3x Lite in .308 for deer hunting right now. Excited to learn from y'all here. Thanks for the accept.

Let us know how the season goes. I have hunted a lot on the south end of the state but never up state in the hills. Every year I say I will take a couple of trips up that way but something usually happens to get in the way. Maybe next year...

Hey there, welcome to the club! Mississippi shooters and hunters really know their stuff, and you’re going to fit right in.

As a squirrel hunter I am interested in exploring more areas of the state. I like staying in state parks, especially those that rent cabins and are near WMAs or National Forests. Where would you recommend in your part of the state?
