With ammo prices continuing to rise I am thinking of buying a bore sighter. I have never owned one, I have never had a firearm bore sighted but I swap scopes occasionally and dred the time and ammo consuming task of sighting in a new firearm/scope combo.

What do you use and why? If you had to do it over would you choose the same one? If not what would you go with?

I’ve been in the same situation. Changing optics way more than I should have and I eventually got tired of burning through half a box of ammo just to get back on the paper. So I got a magnetic bore sighter, and it’s one of those little buys that really proves its worth over time.

I haven't seen one of those in operation. How do you insure it is aligned with the bore? Does yours use a red or green Lazer? Is one easier to see at longer range in daylight than the other? The price range is unbelievable; I have seen them from less than $50 up to $300. I see a few brands I recognize like Wheeler, Bushnell and Sightmark and a lot that I do not. I hate spending money and then regretting it because I didn't do adequate research.
