Not knowing where you are located it's a bit difficult to give any suggestions but I couldn't help you out anyway because I'm actually in the same boat you are not knowing an excellent smith, that I would trust or recommend. These days, finding a good gunsmith can be likened to actually finding that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. If you find one, sell your home and move in next door to him and if possible apprentice with him because they ain't making many excellent gunsmiths anymore. I've known a couple in my time that I would trust with my best pieces but unfortunately, those men, have all passed on to the other side. This is why if I can handle the repair, I do it myself.
